If the individual responsible for decision-making about candidates is unfamiliar with structured interviewing, we strongly suggest he/she will undertake a one-day training session in order to familiarise him/herself with the concept and develop expertise in interpreting responses. This is expected to be delivered online in two modules and can be undertaken at times to suit the individual.
If a number of individuals from the same organisation are required to undertake training, an alternative to the individual modular approach is for the session to be classroom based. In normal times, training will be held principally in Oxford, although other locations can be arranged, including in-company training. We also plan to offer a remote video classroom experience instead of a live session. All such courses will be conducted by one of the principals.
In order to enhance skill and acquire ‘expert status’ in the ERST process, we recommend that individuals consider undertaking training in the use of the NEO PI-3 personality inventory.
